Considered Belonging
A day is a day
Be it September or May
/
Under and over mountains
A red chariot bore me
Through wind and rain
To the heart of my pain
/
A friendly coffee tryst
In seaspray of mist
Under a sky of teal
To a sleeping baby seal
/
Bearing dark coffee
With laughter sweeter than toffee
To a warm cove of books
My being you took
/
It’s foundations you shook
Gifted a book
/
And this day longing
Considered belonging
Considered Belonging is a reminder to self that in rare instances, a moment is worth more than a whole lifetime. In some inexplicable way, Considered Belonging follows on from Solitude & Longing written over a year ago.
I wish you a love so complete, you can only ever know fragments of it.
